It offers 2 miles of nature trail and a glimpse at the local flora and fauna of beautiful Fuquay Varina. The new Splash Pad Park has become a summer favorite allowing kids of all ages to cool off in a spray of streaming water from over 35 water features. It’s open from June through September!
These days, the town is one of the region’s fastest growing towns. From 1970 to 2010, the population more than quadrupled, due to its old-fashioned charm and close proximity to the Research Triangle Park. The original mineral spring that made Fuquay such a popular tourist attraction is still in existence, and has since been turned into a park. The revitalization efforts over the last 20 years have succeeded in creating a quaint, vibrant downtown, with plenty of shopping opportunities for locals and visitors alike, N.C.
Downtown Fuquay Varina has the historic, but modern and updated feel. It's downtown area is larger than most small towns as well! Stop by the Mason jar, which is also located in Holly Springs! The staff and owner are all super friendly and a delicious place to enjoy some pimento dip/burgers. The Mason Jar also has live bands on certain occasions. Another local restaurant originally located in Apex, is Anna's Pizzeria. Not only a variety of dining, but also an excellent selection of local shops and boutiques. Ever heard of "First Fridays"?. The stores and restaurants on Broad Street (downtown) sponsor and host First Fridays. These certain stores will offer extended hours and specials while the restaurants will provide live entertainment and dinner/drink specials the First Friday of every month. The only exception is the month of the July. It's a perfect way to get out every month and socialize with your fellow community members! This community loves to come together not only for socializing, but to also help those in need with the "Schools Out Food Drive" where struggling parents that can't afford for meals for their children during the summer.
